We are seeking a multi-unit General Manager (GM) of Restaurants to join our senior leadership team at Eataly Dallas in NorthPark Center.
Eataly Dallas features three Italian restaurants (in addition to cafés, to-go eateries, fresh counters, a grocery market and a cooking school) :
TERRA RESTAURANT- centered around a wood-burning Italian grill, where our chefs cooks over open flames. Pair the playful and plentiful grilled dishes with herb-infused cocktails, rare wines, and barrel-aged beers.
LA PIZZA & LA PASTA RESTAURANT - features a seasonal selection of dishes offered just steps away from where our expert pasta chefs and dough-slinging pizzaioli (pizza makers) create dishes before your eyes.
IL PASTAIO DI EATALY RESTAURANT - offers fresh, housemade pasta by the bowlful, prepared daily by Eataly's very own pastai who knead, roll, cut and form each shape from scratch according to artisanal pasta-making traditions.
Job Overview
The GM of Restaurants oversees the complex operations of full-service restaurants at Eataly Dallas. Reports to the Director of Store Operations and oversees the team of Restaurant Assistant General Managers.
- Organizes and directs a store’s restaurant operations to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standards
- Sets departmental goals and leads a team of managers, working closely with each to understand operational needs, provide training and motivation, and encourage interdepartmental collaboration
- Prepares weekly updates on restaurants, and collaborates closely with corporate and senior leaders to plan activities and achieve goals
- Assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations and terminations
- Estimates food and beverage needs, and requisitions or purchases food, beverage, supplies and equipment; receives and checks orders to ensure they adhere to specifications
- Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years of front of house management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
- Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational and team-building skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferred
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Availability to travel occasionally
