Job Purpose
As an ambassador of Eataly, the Quick Service Retail (QSR) Sales Associate is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively engage with guests and spend quality time with each customer.
The QSR Sales Associate will provide exceptional customer service by welcoming each guest with a smile. Responsibilities will include assisting guests with products and services at the numerous QSR counters and providing product recommendations. The ideal QSR Sales Associate will be enthusiastic to expand their product knowledge through attending staff classes and trainings. This position will require the ability to multitask with a sense of urgency, communicate effectively, and work as a team.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, serving gelato, pastries, coffee and making crepes. He or she will be responsible for completing food preparation assignments including weighing, labeling and packaging. To ensure a cleanly and safe environment, the QSR Sales Associate will also be responsible for displaying and storing food at the appropriate temperature conditions as per Department of Health Standards and ensuring that stations are consistently cleaned. The QSR Sales associate will also perform cashiering duties such as operating a POS system and ensuring accuracy of cash tills.
The QSR Sales Associate will adhere to all company and department procedures, policies, expectations and quality standards.
Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)
1. Creates a welcoming and engaging environment for customers
2. Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner as per pricing menu
3. Checks to ensure that all display foods are merchandised attractively as per quality standards
4. Serves or packages food neatly and attractively as per department standards and ensures food is handled safely
5. Cleans equipment thoroughly and promptly as necessary
6. Cleans work station, including the floor, thoroughly before leaving the area
7. Promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
8. Operates a cash register and ensures accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
9. Monitors inventory and communicates replenishment needs to the respective departments
Minimum Qualifications
Training/Registration/Licensure/Education
Physical Effort
Position requires standing, bending and mobility for up to eight hours. Must be able to lift full pans, not to exceed 50 pounds.
Mental Effort
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff. Multitasking in a high volume, fast pace environment is essential.
Tools or Equipment Used
Scale, packaging supplies, knife, espresso machine, crepe maker.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the QSR General Manager.
