JOB OVERVIEW

The Facilities Technician, also known as the Mechanic provides guidance and technical direction in the resolution of problems associated with maintenance and facilities. Directly reports to the Facilities Manager.

• Ensures that jobs are completed efficiently within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines

• Inspects repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently

• Assists the Facilities Manager in maintenance projects (e.g., site repairs/construction, preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget

• Performs other duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous maintenance or technician experience required

• Knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing and Refrigeration preferred

• Capability to set up preventive maintenance for all aspects of buildings

• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints

• Strong sense of urgency

• Excellent communication skills

• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Availability to work a flexible schedule onsite at our 24-hour operating facility

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

• Ability to operate carts, hand trucks and other facilities and cleaning equipment
