JOB OVERVIEW

As part of the Eataly’s Digital Operations team, the Manager of Digital Restaurant Operations manages all aspects of restaurant orders that are placed through digital channels. This person will help to set the strategy and develop the tactics to optimize revenue, margin, and brand standards for our restaurant “to-go” business. The role will oversee this function for all North American Eataly locations (not just a single store). Reports to the Head of Digital Sales.

 

  • Partners with the Director of Digital Sales, Director of Restaurants and Director of Culinary to develop menu standards that maximize revenue, margin and brand standards
  • Partners with in-store Restaurant Managers to oversee the creation and maintenance of online menus
  • Partners with representatives from 3rd-party platforms
  • Creates, maintains and updates in-store activity guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (i.e: receiving, logging and expediting orders; packaging and branding initiatives, etc...)
  • Monitors KPIs to measure and improve in-store procedures to maximize digital conversion
  • Helps drive growth through launching new coverage areas and shopper acquisition
  • Spots market opportunities for new customers
  • Troubleshoots and problem solves daily operational issues
  • Creates weekly and monthly reports to track sales goals; keeps peers apprised of progress
  • Understands and assesses the competitive landscape and institutes changes to the sales program in response to competitor and 3rd-party platform changes
  • Implements process training to educate all parties involved in the digital restaurant delivery program as it grows on a national level
  • Motivates, educates and involves all team members (digital sales and in-store) to make proactive decisions related to all aspects of digital restaurant orders
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in an ever-changing, dynamic operational environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to spend approximately 20% of time in the field (at retail locations) and 80% in office
