JOB OVERVIEW

The Pastry Chef works in our 24-hour baking facility to create a multitude of pastries for our guests.  Reports to the Pastry Chef. 

  • Bakes pastries, tiramisu, cannoli, cookies and other Italian desserts
  • Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
  • Maintains a sanitary bakeshop
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree from post-second culinary arts training program preferred
  • 1 year in a baker preparation position preferred
  • Basic math and measuring skills required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, required
  • Burning oven, commercial stand mixer, measuring tools, scale
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weight
