Business Planning Analyst - Future Opportunity

JOB OVERVIEW

Eataly’s Business Planning Analyst assistant-manages all cost and analyzes performances throughout Eataly stores to maximize sales and profit margins. This position is analytical in nature, innovative, resourceful and creative. A Business Planning Analyst is “hands-on” and reviews inventory allocation, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), labor, revenue, transfers and profit and works closely with store general managers to make recommendations, provide analytical information and execute changes as needed to ensure profitability and productivity. Reports directly to the Store Director and functionally reports to the Business Planning Manager.

  • Supports Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Leads the creation and execution of monthly management reporting packages
  • Works cross functionally across all departments including accounting, retail, restaurants, and business intelligence
  • Works with accounting and business intelligence to generate monthly and quarterly financial and business reports
  • Improves performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand Return of Investment (ROI) in all areas of operations
  • Reviews inventory allocation, COGS, labor, revenue, transfers and profit daily
  • Adheres to all company and department procedures, policies, expectations and quality standards
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Mathematics preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or an operations role
  • Demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Other databases, automation or business intelligence skills preferred
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized; attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of business principles and experience in consumer retail or restaurants preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand instructions
  • Geographic mobility: openness to working at Eataly in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Silicon Valley or other new locations
